How do I open a Jamail trade account as an interior designer?
Submit your resale certificate, business license, and a sample of recent client work through our Open Trade Account page. Most designer accounts are approved within one business day. Once active, you get published trade pricing on every collection, a named designer rep (currently Samin Seifpour), and a studio sample kit shipped within 48 hours.
Can I bring my client to the Colquitt Street showroom?
Yes — that’s the normal workflow. Designers schedule client walk-throughs with their rep, and we set up the showroom to support the conversation (samples laid out for the client’s color story, install gallery boards prepped). Clients leave; you keep the trade relationship. We don’t pitch the client behind your back and we don’t sell them retail.
Do you provide CEU credit through AIA or ASID?
We host AIA-registered Lunch & Learns for architecture firms and partner with ASID Texas Chapter on designer-targeted continuing education. Topics include European oak specification for Houston humidity, slab moisture protocols, and pattern (chevron/herringbone) selection. Schedule one for your studio.
How do you handle custom stain matching for a designer’s color story?
Two paths. Path one: pick a stain from our standard finish library — WOCA Natural Oil, hard-wax oil, brushed, wire-brushed, reactive-stained — most designer projects land here. Path two: custom finish coordination through our in-house refinishing crew, where we match a paint chip, fabric swatch, or stone sample on character-grade European oak. Custom finish work adds 2–3 weeks to the timeline.
What’s the turnaround on sample kits for a new project pitch?
Standard studio sample kits ship within 48 hours of your rep request. Project-specific kits (8–12 selected boards matched to a brief) ship within 3–5 business days. For client presentation deadlines under 48 hours, your rep can hand-deliver inside the Loop and most of the Memorial corridor the same day.
