Joey is hands-on with the business — he meets new accounts personally, knows most of his clients' kids' names, and still answers the main line when a sample kit needs to ship same-day. When he isn't at the showroom or visiting a jobsite, he's somewhere outdoors in Texas, usually with family.

Ethan is starting his sales career at Jamail Hardwoods, following the family into the business he grew up around. Outside of work, Ethan is into bodybuilding, football, hunting, and fishing — Texas through and through. He's working at Jamail part-time while attending school, with plans to go on to law school and eventually become a defense attorney. For now, every hardwood project gets his full attention from the first sample to the final delivery.

Patrick is the Builder Consultant at Jamail Hardwoods, the direct line for Houston's custom home builders and production firms working on everything from Memorial new-builds to River Oaks tear-down renovations. His job is the unglamorous, mission-critical work of making sure the floor specs land on builders' desks already priced, scheduled, and de-risked — so the build keeps moving and the install window doesn't slip.
Before Jamail, Patrick spent over a decade in the Houston construction supply trade, learning the rhythm of builder schedules from the inside. He knows the difference between a 60-day spec sheet and a 4-week change order, and he knows which collections are sitting on the floor in our Colquitt Street warehouse versus which need lead time. When he's off the clock, Patrick is most often somewhere on the Gulf Coast with a fishing rod, or at a kids' sports field watching one of his kids run something — he's a longtime Houston resident, full Texan, and the rare hardwood rep who actually knows where the slab issues are in every neighborhood inside the loop.

Samin was born in Iran and moved to the United States at sixteen — old enough to carry one culture with her and young enough to fall completely in love with another. She started college on a biology track, but somewhere between textbooks and tile samples she realized she had been quietly designing rooms in her head since she was a child. The shift into design wasn't really a shift. It was just finally listening to herself.
Today, Samin is the Design Consultant at Jamail Hardwoods, where she helps bring beautiful hardwood floors, paneling, and custom millwork into Houston's finest homes. She partners with builders, architects, and interior designers from the very first conversation — helping them choose the right materials, stay on budget, hit their timelines, and deliver finishes their clients will love for decades. Every project is treated like it's going into her own home. Her goal is simple: make the process effortless, the finishes exceptional, and the partnerships last for years.
When she isn't in the showroom or on a jobsite, Samin is usually traveling. She collects places the way some people collect art, with electronic and house music playing in the background of just about everything she does. She brings that same energy to her work — warm, curious, and quietly obsessive about getting it right. For Samin, design is personal, and so is every client she works with.
Project Foreman · Installation & Job-Site Lead
Paul is the project foreman at Jamail Hardwoods — he runs the job site. From delivery and acclimation through layout, installation, and the final walkthrough, Paul makes sure the hardwood goes in exactly the way it was specified.
Builders and designers count on Paul to keep installations on schedule and on standard. He coordinates the crews, solves the problems that come up on every project, and is the person on the ground making sure the finished floor matches the promise.
Dallas + Austin Market Lead · Starting June 2026
Vanessa Vargas joins Jamail Hardwoods in June 2026 as Dallas + Austin Market Lead — Jamail's first dedicated North Texas territory rep. Her job: bring the same B2B trade-only, named-rep, published-pricing model that's defined Jamail in Houston to Dallas designers, custom home builders, and architects.
Vanessa is the direct point of contact for any Dallas account that isn't already routed to a channel specialist (Ashley for Highland Park architects, Patrick for Preston Hollow builders, Aly for Uptown multi-family, Samin for Knox-Henderson designers). She handles sample kit dispatch from Houston, jobsite visits across DFW, designer firm relationship building, and spec coordination with the broader Jamail team.

A Louisiana native with deep Southern roots, Aly found her way to Houston after Hurricane Katrina. When she's not on the showroom floor, Aly leads a life as colorful as her personality. She works in aviation and is the creative force behind her own event company, where she writes and hosts residential murder mystery dinners — yes, she writes the games herself. Outside of work, you'll find her fishing, hunting for treasures at estate sales and antique shops, or traveling whenever the opportunity arises. At home, she shares life with her seven-year-old son and their chatty cockatiel, Mr. Billy.
Chief Morale Officer · Showroom Dog
Charlie is the four-legged heart of the Jamail Hardwoods showroom. He greets every designer, builder, and architect who comes through the door on Colquitt Street — and has personally inspected more European White Oak than anyone on the team.
You will find him supervising deliveries from the front seat of the truck, claiming the warmest patch of finished floor in the building, and reminding everyone that trade is a people business. Chief Morale Officer, full-time good boy.
