What to expect from your consultation

Every Jamail Hardwoods consultation is staffed by a trade rep who specializes in your business type. Interior designers are paired with Samin, who runs sample kits and material specifications for Houston's leading residential designers. Home builders work with Patrick, who manages volume pricing, spec-and-hold inventory, and on-site material drops for production schedules. Architects are routed to Ashley, who handles AIA CE Lunch & Learns, CSI 3-part specs, and CAD/BIM documentation. Multi-family developers are paired with Joey, who structures build-pack pricing and phased delivery for apartment and mixed-use projects.

Our four consultation types each have a different agenda. A showroom visit walks you through the full Riva Spain and Vandyck collections on display in our Houston warehouse — about 60 minutes, ideal for designers exploring a new project palette. A job-site walkthrough brings a rep to your project address with samples, a moisture meter, and acclimation guidance — about 45 minutes, ideal for builders pre-install. A sample review is a 30-minute showroom appointment focused on narrowing a specific spec — bring drawings, mood boards, or competing samples. A video meeting is the fastest option for out-of-state designers or initial introductions — 30 minutes via Zoom or Google Meet.

Lead time and scheduling

Most consultations are scheduled within 48 hours. Job-site walkthroughs typically book 3–5 business days out depending on travel distance from our Houston warehouse. We serve the full Houston metro plus Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, and Fort Worth for in-person visits. Out-of-state designers and architects use the video option, which is available same-day for most requests.

Before the consultation

If you have a specific project in mind, bring drawings or photos. If you've narrowed to one or two specifications, request a sample kit ahead of time from /sample-kit-request so we can have the correct samples on hand. If you're an architect interested in AIA CE credit, mention it in the form below — we can structure the consultation as an informal Lunch & Learn. After the consultation

You'll receive a written follow-up within one business day with the samples discussed, applicable trade pricing (if you have a trade account), and any custom mill order quotes. If you don't have a trade account yet, your rep will share the application link and walk you through the verification process. Most trade applications are approved within 24 hours.
